Are you a teenager looking to learn more about babysitting safety and maybe start your own business? TMCL has a great opportunity for you!
On Sunday, Nov 27th from 9:00am – 3:00pm we will be offering a combined course that includes Child & Babysitting Safety (CABS) and Child & Infant First Aid, CPR, AED. This program gives teenagers and young adults everything they need to know for safe and successful babysitting. From getting started with a business, to working with parents and children, to key safety, caregiving, and first aid tips.
Topics Include
- Babysitting as a business
- Safety & injury prevention
- Leadership strategies to build confidence
- Tips on age appropriate play
- How to build rapport and stay engaged with children
- Basic caregiving skills such as feeding, burping, diapering, and safe sleep
- Basic first aid for common incidents
