Silver Berry Vision Zero Street Lab Update
Fall 2023
Phase 2 of the project is under way, with the installation of additional temporary traffic calming measures on the east and west portions of Silver Berry Road. These installations will be monitored for effectiveness by the Vision Zero team, and adjustments will be made if needed. Residents will have an opportunity to participate in engagement with the team and provide feed back on their experiences with these new measures and their impact on the area before permanent installations are made. Phase 2 began this week and will be evaluated for the next few months, into the spring of 2024. Current temporary installations include:
- Curb extensions installed at the south side of Silver Berry Road, west of 33 avenue, the east side of 32 street south of 25 avenue, both sides of 24 street north of 23 avenue.
- Centre medians will be installed at Silver Berry Road west of 33A street, Silver Berry Road at 30 avenue (north and south), Silver Berry Road at 28B avenue (north and south), Silver Berry Road at 20 street (east and west).
- Adaptable speed humps installed at 32 avenue west of Silver Berry Road, 33 avenue between Silver Berry Road and 26 street.
