Poetry Pathways Project
TMCL exists with the power & energy of Community Members
It is with great pride that the league has been able to bring such a special art piece to so many of our residents.
The project was conceived and coordinated by lead artists Jannie Edwards and Agnieszka Matejko, who approached The Meadows Community League to work with them to bring this art installation to fruition.
At its completion, there will be 4 phases throughout the neighbourhoods:
Phase One – in front of Father Michael Troy Junior High School.
Phase Two – in front of Velma E Baker Elementary School.
Phase Three – on the pathways north of the Millcreek Ravine.
Phase Four – in front of Silverberry Park.
The Meadows Community League also received support from The City of Edmonton, The Government of Alberta, RioCan ATB, and Summit Memorials. All of the poems that were submitted by our many talented area residents and schools, including…
- Velma E Baker School
- Father Michael Troy Catholic Junior High School
- A Blair McPherson School
- Bisset School
- McNally High School
- Holy Trinity Catholic High School
- Austin O’Brien Catholic High School
- Tea Connections
